PRIVACY POLICY

SnapMake Privacy Policy

Effective: June 23, 2026 · Last updated: July 2, 2026

Overview

SnapMake respects your privacy. This policy describes how the SnapMake macOS app handles information.

Data processing

SnapMake does not require an account. Video, audio, subtitle, CSV, and Excel files you choose, plus all results the app generates, are processed locally on your Mac. SnapMake does not upload these files to developer servers.

Network use

Speech recognition may download Whisper model files from Hugging Face on first use. That connection is for model files only—your media and subtitles are not uploaded. You may also import a local .bin model to reduce network use.

Collection and tracking

SnapMake does not collect personal data, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell user data.

System permissions

SnapMake accesses files and folders only when you explicitly choose them, to read inputs and save outputs where you specify.

Third-party components

SnapMake bundles FFmpeg for local media processing on device. It does not send your files to third-party services for that processing. See the licenses page for open-source notices.

Children's privacy

SnapMake is not designed to collect children's personal information, and the app does not collect personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
